About me

Hi, I’m Fabio.

I’m a strategic UX leader and creative person with over 20 years of experience. During my career I’ve driven innovation and solved complex digital challenges for industry giants like Samsung and Thomson Reuters, as well as high-profile clients including Mastercard, HSBC, NatWest, and Barclays to name a few.

Digital design is my profession, and outside of work, I’m driven by a genuine passion for understanding the world around me. I’m always excited to learn new things in fields like engineering, social sciences, and beyond. This curiosity fuels my adventurous side, inspiring me to explore new cultures through travel and marvel at scientific advancements that make a real difference. To me, continuous learning – both personal and professional – is what keeps life interesting and allows us to contribute to a better future.

My drivers

Creativity

I champion creativity and lateral thinking as catalysts for problem-solving, even for everyday challenges. It’s not about reinventing the wheel, but about approaching problems from multiple perspectives to identify the most fitting solution for the given context, both in professional and personal endeavors.

Leadership

As a Design leader, I’ve successfully led diverse teams of 10+ members, encompassing designers, researchers, content creators, and product managers. My skills enable me to connect and align various teams across business, finance, technology, and creative areas, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovative solutions and delivers results.

Efficiency

I create and adapt processes using new tools to boost efficiency in management and production. My focus on streamlining workflows and implementing best practices ensures the delivery of high-quality products that generate conversions, are easy to manage, and delight users.

Sharing

I’ve been very fortunate in my life, meeting people and mentors who really shaped the person I’m now. Because of this, I’m committed to sharing my expertise through various channels. For the past three years, I’ve been working as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Greenwich and participate in mentoring sessions with The Intrapreneurs Club and individual mentees.

Highlight: A mentoring success story

Meet John, an aspiring UI designer who applied for a senior product designer position at Ten four years ago. Despite lacking the required experience, his enthusiasm and dedication to the field impressed me. While I couldn’t offer him the job, I saw potential and offered mentorship instead.

Over time, John worked diligently on projects to build his portfolio, and we engaged in candid reviews, sharing ideas, tools, and processes. His hard work paid off when he secured his first freelance job, followed by a significant opportunity at Zurich Insurance. After thorough preparation, John landed the position and has since progressed to become a senior product designer. We continue to stay in touch, and John remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his craft.
